Deputy Head (Development)
Mr. David Bennett’s appointment took effect in November 2019. As Deputy Head of Information Systems (Development), his responsibilities include identifying needs, determining solutions, and implementing systems that ensure the efficient and effective use of technology to direct, store and share information, and to maintain the integrity of the data and Information Systems functions within CIMA.
Mr. Bennett began his career with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority in 2012 as the Systems Development Manager. In this capacity, Mr. Bennett was primarily responsible for leading the project management, analysis, development, and maintenance of all CIMA bespoke applications, purchased and outsourced systems, as well as other systems and applications including the Directors Registration and Licensing Law (DRLL) Director portal, online escrow payments system and Regulatory Enhanced Electronic Forms Submission (REEFS) portal.
Prior to joining the Authority, Mr. Bennett worked for a software consultancy firm in the Cayman Islands developing KYC and Corporate Administration software and services.
An accomplished developer and systems specialist, he has over 20 years of fulltime experience in the Information Technology field.
Mr. Bennett holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with honours from the University of Portsmouth, UK.
