Eric L. Wilson was appointed to the post of Deputy Head of the Fiduciary Services Supervision Division, effective 1 April 2016. With oversight from the Head of Division, he manages the day-to-day operations of the division, both on an on-site and off-site basis.
Mr. Wilson joined the Authority in October 2013 as Chief Analyst in the Investments and Securities Division, where he led a team of Analysts in the licensing, regulation and supervision of mutual funds, mutual fund administrators as well as entities conducting securities investment business. He subsequently transferred to the Fiduciary Services Division in October 2015, where he was the Chief Analyst with primary responsibility for the oversight of the on-site inspection team, as well as responsibility for the enhancement of divisional policies and procedures.
Prior to joining the Authority, Mr. Wilson was employed with CIBC Bank and Trust Company (Cayman) Limited in the Fund Services Department from 1999 through 2009. He joined as a Junior Fund Accountant and moved up the ranks to Account Manager.
He was also employed as the Senior Manager of Fund Services and Money Laundering Reporting Officer at JP Fund Administration (Cayman) Ltd., where he was actively involved with their Fund Accounting and Investor Services teams.
Mr. Wilson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance concentration) Degree in 2004, a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) Degree in 2005, and a Graduate Certificate in Investments in 2005 – all from the Florida International University. Mr. Wilson is also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), and a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
Outside of his professional capacity, he is an active member of his community. He served as President of the Leo Club of Grand Cayman, where he led the organization on various projects throughout Grand Cayman.
