Chief Risk Officer


With nine years’ experience in the financial services industry, including a stint with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, Janique Samson re-joined the Authority to serve as its first Chief Risk Officer on 1 April 2021.

Her professional career began with the Authority in 2009 as an Analyst in the Banking Supervision Division. She later left the Authority to take up a post in private banking, particularly in corporate lending, where she served for seven years.

Ms. Samson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economic from Pace University, New York City and a Master’s degree in Enterprise Risk Management from the University of the West Indies. She is also a past recipient of the Authority’s Thomas Jefferson Memorial Scholarship Programme.
