Tara Abdul-Jabbar was appointed to the post of Deputy Head of Human Resources of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority in August 2011.
Ms. Abdul-Jabbar is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and projects of the Human Resources Division to ensure CIMA operates effectively in the management of its people and resources in accordance of the organisation’s strategic plan. She is also responsible for fostering a culture of customer excellence to ensure that customer needs are understood and met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Since joining the Authority in June 2000, Ms. Abdul-Jabbar has steadily been appointed to positions of greater responsibility, most recently as Acting HR Manager from January 2008 until her promotion to Deputy Head in August 2011. Ms. Abdul-Jabbar also leads the CIMA Wellness Team and is a member of the CIMA Green Team.
Ms. Abdul-Jabbar earned a Bachelor of Science (CumLaude) degree in Social Work from the University of Tampa, Florida in 1990 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management and Development from the University of Manchester (United Kingdom) in 2008.
