The duration of this temporary assignment will be for 12 months.
The successful candidate(s) will perform a range of tasks that assist in the regulation and monitoring of licensees and registrants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will:
Process registrations and licence applications for funds;
Process terminations/de-registrations of funds;
Process directors registrations, surrenders and change requests;
Review and process audit extension/waiver/exemption requests;
Conduct follow-up in relation to the submission of audited accounts and address related queries;
Process mail and assist with other administrative tasks as required; and
Participate in other projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
An Associate’s degree in a finance related field and/or at least three years of relevant and related experience in the finance, financial accounting, auditing, or funds industry;
Basic knowledge of offering documents as they relate to mutual funds;
Basic knowledge of the Directors Registration and Licensing Act, Mutual Funds Act, Private Funds Act, regulations, relevant rules, guidance, policies and procedures relating to the supervision of Mutual Funds, Private Funds and Mutual Fund Administrators would be highly advantageous or beneficial;
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with both internal and external parties; and
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel and Word is required.
