Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager – Employee Services, the Senior Human Resources Officer - Employee Services is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative services to ensure effective and efficient operations of the Division that successfully meets the needs of CIMA and its employees.
In addition, the Senior Human Resources Officer - Employee Services assists with providing supervision and guidance to the Human Resources Officers – Employee Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will:
• Manage and have immediate oversight of the Human Resources Officers – Employee Services and employee services matters (benefits, leave/attendance management, policy amendments, provision of statistics, responses to employee queries) for CIMA;
• Prepare correspondence for circulation within the Division, CIMA, or externally;
• Assist with the preparation of employment contracts and memorandums for review by the Human Resources Manager – Employee Services;
• Assist the Human Resources Manager – Employee Services with the oversight of probation timelines, finance-related matters, and staff movements within the Authority for all employees;
• Assist with the oversight of the Human Resources Officer – Employee Services with the coordination of events and meetings hosted or organized by CIMA;
• Assist with responding to and resolving employee services and possibly overseas relocation queries;
• Prepare Human Resources data tracking updates, analytics and reports/metrics for the Managers in the Division; and
• Be a positive ambassador and exude professionalism and maturity at all times whilst adhering to confidentiality in all aspects, in addition to establishing and maintaining a culture of customer excellence.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent certification; and
• Five (5) years’ experience, with demonstrated performance capabilities and supervisory responsibilities, working in a human resources administrative role in a corporate environment.
• Certification(s) in secretarial studies or Human Resources Management would be an asset.
• Knowledge of general Human Resources administrative procedures;
• High level of confidentiality, maturity and work ethic is paramount;
• Sound working knowledge of the Cayman Islands employment legislations (including work permit application processes and requirements);
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Great plains Dynamics, VISTA, SharePoint systems, and forms creation would be advantageous;
• Computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word Processing are necessary, and website updates beneficial;
• Proven ability to work independently with positive results; and
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills to accomplish tasks within tight deadlines.
