Do Not Respond to Emails Requesting Personal Bank Information

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority reminds the public that best practices for banks that are licensed to operate in and from the Cayman Islands dictate that they do not request their customers’ personal details via email.

Any email that seems to be coming from your bank requesting that you verify your personal or online banking details should be ignored. It is therefore recommended that you do not click on any link included in these emails. Always consult with your bank directly to avoid falling victim to financial fraud.
