The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (the “Authority”) has released the 2021 Annual Declaration form for Registered Persons ADR 046 75 on the REEFS platform, under the ‘Filings’ tab. Completion of this form by 15 January in each year is mandatory for all Registered Persons along with payment of the annual fee on an annual basis, pursuant to section 5(4E) of the Securities Investment Business Law (2020 Revision) (“SIBL”). Failure to complete and file this Annual Declaration form with the Authority by the prescribed deadline will result in enforcement action by the Authority. In addition, failure to pay the fee by 15 January in each year will result in a surcharge of one-twelfth of the fee for every month or part of a month thereafter that the fee is not paid, pursuant to section 5(4D) of the SIBL.
The Annual Declaration should cover the period from the 1 January 2020 or date of registration with the Authority (as applicable) to 31 December 2020. All material changes proposed to be made by the Registered Person prior to 31 December 2020 not already effected, must be submitted, by email, to the Authority prior to submission of the annual declaration form.The REEFS Form Completion Guide: Annual Declaration for SIBL Registered Person can be found on the REEFS platform - https://www.cima.ky/reefs-forms-guidance-notes.
