Mr. Greg Swart served as Managing Member and Chief Financial Officer of Farallon Capital Management LLC, a leading global alternative asset management firm, from 2002-2019. Prior to joining Farallon, Mr. Swart worked at Goldman Sachs for twelve years, initially in London then primarily based in the Cayman Islands where he managed a business unit providing accounting and administration services to hedge funds as part of Goldmans global Prime Brokerage business. During his tenure at Goldman he oversaw the significant expansion of administration services including establishing operations in Dublin Ireland and Princeton New Jersey.
Prior to joining Goldman, Mr. Swart worked for six years at Ernst & Young in New Zealand. Mr. Swart graduated with a diploma in Business Studies from the Waikato Institute of Technology in 1988. He became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand in 1989 and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants in 1991, these memberships are no longer active.
Mr. Swart has extensive experience working with and serving on corporate and nonprofit boards including serving as Chair of the Cayman Islands Fund Administrators Association from 2000-2002; Chair of The Branson School Board of Trustees from 2015-2017; and President, GS Financial Products from 1991-1996. After his retirement from full-time employment at Farallon in 2019 Mr. Swart served as a consultant to Farallon and has been an investor, director and consultant to a variety of private businesses.
