Filing Deadline Extended for Funds Due to System Issues

General Industry Notices
Date: Tue, 01 July 2025

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (“the Authority”) is aware of technical issues impacting the submission of audited financial statements and the Fund Annual Return (FAR) form for funds with a financial year-end (“FYE”) of 31 December 2024. In light of these challenges, the Authority has extended the filing deadline to 7 July 2025 for funds that are prepared to file but have been unable to do so due to system-related disruptions.

During this extended period, no penalties will be imposed, and the relevant filing rows will remain accessible via the Authority’s REEFS Portal at https://reefs.cimaconnect.com/ until 7 July 2025.

Funds with FYEs falling subsequent to 31 December 2024 must continue to adhere to the standard filing requirement of six (6) months following the FYE, or alternatively, submit a formal extension request accompanied by the applicable fee.
