Deputy Head - Financial Stability & Statistics Division


On 1 March 2021, Mr.  Yoshneck Mutomba was appointed as Deputy Head – Statistics, Compilation and Reporting in the Financial Stability & Statistics Division at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).

In this role, Mr. Mutomba has the responsibility of overseeing the compilation of international financial and monetary statistics, dissemination of key domestic financial sector statistics and providing statistical support to the Financial Stability & Macroprudential Monitoring Group in the development of key financial stability indicators and macroprudential frameworks.

Mr. Mutomba started his career at CIMA on 2 September 2013 in the capacity of Senior Statistician and was appointed Chief statistician on 1June 2018.

Prior to joining CIMA, he worked as an Assistant Director at the then Ministry of Education, Employment, Youth, Sports & Culture, where he was responsible for the labour market statistics and research. Mr. Mutomba also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University College of the Cayman Islands in Faculty of Science and Mathematics.

Mr. Mutomba holds a MSc Physics (Theoretical Physics) degree from the University of Havana, Cuba. In addition, Mr. Mutomba also obtained post graduate certificates in Monetary and Financial Statistics from International Monetary Fund (IMF) and financial stability related certifications.
