Gaone Dube

Deputy Head - Investments Supervision Division

With over 19 years of experience in the Cayman Islands financial services industry, Mrs. Gaone Dube was appointed as Deputy Head of the Investments Supervision Division on 1 January 2022.

Prior to joining the Authority, Mrs. Dube worked for an audit firm where she provided audit and advisory services to mutual funds before becoming the Deputy Head of the Fund of Funds division at a leading fund administrator. In her 14-year tenor, she managed client relationships, led teams responsible for a diverse portfolio of funds, led the AIFMD Depositary Lite Services and was the EU GDPR Data Steward.

She joined CIMA in 2018 as a Chief Analyst who was responsible for leading the off-site and on-site supervision of Mutual Fund Administration licensees.

Mrs. Dube is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, holding the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants designation. Additionally, she is a member of several organisations including the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants and 100 Women in Finance.
