Gloria Glidden

Chief Supervision Officer - Investments & Innovation

Effective 1 October 2026, Gloria Glidden has been appointed Chief Supervision Officer - Investments & Innovation of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. In this role, she will oversee the Investments Supervision, Securities Supervision, VASP & Fintech Innovation, and Authorisations Divisions.

With more than a decade of regulatory experience and a strong record of senior leadership at the Authority, including her tenure as Deputy Head of the former Investments and Securities Division (2012–2014) and, most recently, Head of the Banking Supervision Division, Mrs. Glidden has led the supervision of international and commercial banks and trusts, the development bank, money services businesses, building societies, and cooperative societies operating in and from the Cayman Islands.

Throughout her tenure at the Authority, Mrs. Glidden has also represented CIMA in a range of international and regional engagements, working groups and conferences with regulatory bodies and standard-setting organisations, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), Group of International Financial Centre Supervisors (GIFCS), Association of Supervisors of Banks of the Americas (ASBA), Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF), and Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS). Through these engagements, she has contributed to regional and international regulatory discussions and supported the continued enhancement of the Authority's regulatory frameworks.

A Certified Public Accountant, Mrs. Glidden brings over twenty five years of post qualification experience spanning regulatory oversight, audit, hedge fund administration, telecommunications, and utilities. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Miami and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants.
