Online Funds and Securities Forms Now Available

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (the “Authority”) is pleased to advise that the following forms are currently available within the Regulatory Enhanced Electronic Forms Submission (REEFS) portal for funds and securities related processes:

Service providers and other authorized users are encouraged to commence the use of these forms, as the use of online applications for the aforementioned processes will become mandatory as at 1 October 2017. No paper based applications, change requests or return filings that are available via REEFS will be accepted by the Authority after that date. You can login to the REEFS portal at: https://reefs.cimaconnect.com 

In addition, the CIMA Connect portal, currently used for the submission of fund registration applications, will be discontinued as at 30 September 2017, as all fund registration applications will be through the REEFS portal. 

Guidance on the completion of the aforementioned forms and the use of the REEFS portal is available on the Authority’s website www.cimoney.com.ky. Queries can also be sent to contactinvestments@cimoney.com.ky and contactsecurities@cimoney.com.ky. 

Other functionalities available through the REEFS portal include the ability for authorized REEFS subscribers to electronically view all outstanding and upcoming annual fees for the entities that they manage. Escrow online accounts, enabling industry subscribers to pay the fees identified above online and in real time, will be available shortly. 

The Authority remains focused on implementing enhancements that will improve its services and will continue to provide updates on newly implemented procedures as they are introduced.
