Private Funds - Updated Fund Annual Return Form

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (the “Authority”) is advising that an updated version of the Fund Annual Return (“FAR”) form for private funds is scheduled to be released by 1 March 2022. This form is utilised when submitting the audited financial statements of private funds to the Authority. The updated version combines the existing private fund FAR form and the Related Fund Entity form (“RFE form”). The updated FAR form should be utilised for all financial year-ends of 31 December 2021 and beyond. The initial FAR form (PFR-049-77) and RFE form (RFE-050-77) will resultantly only be required for financial year-end filings up to 30 November 2021. 

The updated private fund FAR form (PFR-049-77-02) will be accessible to private funds’ designated submitters via the Authority’s Regulatory Enhanced Electronic Forms Submission (“REEFS”) portal. An updated completion guide will also be posted to the Authority’s website at the time of release of the updated form.
