Senior Legal Counsel


Ms Renée Caudeiron was promoted to Senior Legal Counsel on 3 June 2024. In this role, she advises on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters and provides support to the Acting Deputy General Counsel in furtherance of the Authority’s mandate.

Ms Caudeiron joined CIMA in August 2020 as Legal Counsel (Research & Development) within the Legal Division. Prior to joining the Authority, she was employed at an offshore law firm, where she spent several years as an associate in the Commercial Litigation department. In that capacity, she advised on both contentious and non-contentious matters across a range of complex legal issues.

Ms Caudeiron holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) from Queen Mary, University of London, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal and Professional Skills from the Inns of Court School of Law. She is admitted to the Bar of England and Wales (Inner Temple) and the Bar of the British Virgin Islands (both non-practising), as well as the Bar of the Cayman Islands. She is also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Ms Caudeiron is an active member of Rotary Central Cayman Islands and serves on the Mid-Career Bridge Cayman Committee of 100 Women in Finance, reflecting her commitment to professional development and community engagement.
