Strategy and Projects Officer | Office of the CEO
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Strategy and Projects Officer (“DCSPO”), the Strategy and projects Officer is responsible for providing support with the planning and monitoring the execution of the Authority’s Strategic plan. The position holder assists with implementing communications strategy with regards to the Authority’s Strategic Plan. The Strategy Officer also assists in coordinating with CIMA divisions and various working groups track the progress related to the Strategic Plan and other projects undertaken by the Chief Strategy and Projects Officer (“CSPO”) and compile relevant reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will:
- Assist with conducting research, collecting and analysing the information for assessing the relevant risks and setting the key strategic priorities;
- Assist with monitoring the execution of the strategic plan and related projects;
- Compile, review and analyse the strategic plan progress reports from divisions and various working groups, and reports to the DCSPO and CSPO along with any observations made with regards to challenges associated with effective and timely execution;
- Assist with the drafting of quarterly progress reports to update the executive management and the Board on the achievement of the Authority’s strategic objectives and initiatives;
- Contribute to the drafting, revising and maintaining manuals, reporting templates and other procedural documents relating to the strategic plan development and implementation;
- Organise and engages in meetings related to strategic plan and other projects. Prepares pre-meeting documents and takes concise minutes in meetings;
- Responsible for the document management in the strategy area;
- Assist with drafting strategic plan communications to CIMA staff and relevant stakeholders. Works with the Public Relations Team for the delivery of the quarterly and ad hoc updates to the staff including keeping the strategic plan dashboard updated; and
- Liaise with various divisions, working groups and senior management in CIMA as a part of assisting with the development and implementation of the strategic plan; and
- Interact with external stakeholders such as external consultants.
- Assist the Deputy Chief Strategy Officer in identifying, tracking and monitoring best practices as they relate to strategy planning and execution;
- Assist DCSPO and CSPO with preparing speaking notes and materials for attendance at the local and/or overseas meetings/conferences;
- Assist with implementing change management initiatives related to the strategic plan; and
- Research, gather, analyse and produce pertinent information to assist with specific/ad hoc projects, e.g. reports to the Board and executive management, and annual reports.
REQUIREMENTS:
The minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job are as follows:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, finance or a related field; and
- A Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in the areas of strategic planning and development, corporate governance, or project management, preferably regulatory experience.
- A professional qualification in strategic planning and development, corporate governance, project management or change management certification would be an asset.
- An understanding of the financial services regulatory environment and the financial services industry;
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills;
- Problem-solving skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to pay attention to details and critically analyse information; and
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Salary: CI$ 77,929 - CI$ 94,519 per annum
