New 2026 Coins Begin Circulation

Further to our previous media release dated 9 October 2026, the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority is pleased to announce that the new 2026 Cayman Islands circulating coins have begun entering circulation, starting with the lower denominations.

The higher denominations will be introduced over the coming months as the full 2026 coin series is gradually released into circulation. As a result, only a limited number of new coins are currently in circulation.

A further update will be published on our website once the rollout of the new coins is complete.
